The Implementation of Business Strategy. I worked in the strategy office (Maerks line) for two years and was responsible for the implementation of business strategy and alignment using the Kaplan and Norton balance score card. Furthermore I also managed the Project office for Truworths and was responsible for the alignment of projects and business strategy.
I.T. management : I managed the IT/IS department on a regional level for 10 years. My roles differed from Technical leader, Manager and Development couch. My outcomes was driving down of IT cost (Unit cost) ,managing applications life cycle business, plan business growth and IT strategy planning using Heat Maps. My team consisted of 28 IT managers across and i managed the Finance Oracle suppport team.
Financial management consulting : I have a good acumen for financial planning and decision making modeling. I interact and assist in project justification and contract negotiation in the tender committee and project office committee. I use the following decision tools to advice and help financial decision:
· Cash flow /NPV analysis
· ROI /Pay back
· Number / analysis
· Risk decisions, I normally do a cash flow and use scenario planning to mitigate risk.
Innovation and Business – Maersk strongly believe that innovation is a catalyst for sustainability. I successfully drive Innovation and idea generation in the Maersk Africa region. The success spilled over and I became part of the Global Innovation drive for Maerks
